ABS female trap adapter for a threaded transition where a trap arm or drain component meets an ABS line — the hub solvent-welds to Schedule 40 IPS ABS, and the FIPT (female NPT) end takes a male pipe thread. This is the threaded-style adapter: no nut, no washer, it joins to threaded pipe rather than a tubular tailpiece. Reach for it when the connection on the other side is male pipe thread; for a slip-joint connection to a P-trap tailpiece, use the slip-joint trap adapter instead. It's a LESSO America ABS DWV fitting conforming to ASTM D2661 and CSA B181.1 with NSF/ANSI 14 and cUPC listings — the marks an inspector checks on a residential or light-commercial rough-in across the GTA.
